As Christmas approaches, we wanted to make contact and let you know our plans for receiving samples and testing over the statutory holiday period. In order to provide our team with a much-deserved break we will be operating with skeleton staff over this festive period.
Hamilton Laboratory
Samples received at the laboratory from Monday 16 December 2024, will have extended TATs. Operational hours for the period Monday 23 December 2024 through to Friday 3 January 2025 are as follows:
• Monday 23 December - Laboratory operating at normal capacity; samples received on this day are not guaranteed to be reported before 6th January.
• Tuesday 24 December - Laboratory operating with skeleton staff; able to receive samples. Able to receive samples up until 12 pm.
• Wednesday 25 December - Thursday 26 December - Laboratory close.
ALS Food NZ located at Innovation park will be operating on these days to process samples, but not be available to the public to drop off or receive samples via standard courier systems.
• Friday 27 December - Tuesday 31 December - Laboratory operating with skeleton staff; able to receive samples. Able to receive samples up until 2pm.
• Wednesday 1 January - Thursday 2 January - Laboratory closed.
ALS Food NZ located at Innovation park will be operating on these days to process samples, but not be available to the public to drop off or receive samples via standard courier systems.
• Friday 3 January - Laboratory operating with skeleton staff; able to receive sample. Able to receive samples up until 2pm.
Due to skeleton staff, no urgent analysis will be available.
Service returns to normal on Monday 6 January 2025.
Honey clients please be aware that final reports will not be available until Monday 6th January. Additionally, Dairy and Drug of Abuse samples will have extended TATs due to statutory days but will still be reported during this festive period.
Please be aware that couriers are external to our operations. They are likely to be very busy during the festive period, so delays in delivery could be expected.
