Zespri Crop Protection Standard (CPS) – Formulation Screening
Zespri Crop Protection Standard (CPS) – Formulation Screening
This formulation screening service has been developed by ALS Food NZ (ALS) in conjunction with Zespri, for companies wanting to submit their product/s for review and potential inclusion in the Zespri Crop Protection Standard (CPS) or for reasons such as quality control. A sample of product is supplied to ALS, and is tested for a range of compounds that are of interest to Zespri. Zespri does not receive a copy of the results directly. A report of the results is given to the submitter to be used as part of the Zespri CPS product review request.
More detail about the service is available in the Testing Service Summary

Sample Submission
Samples should be sent to ALS NZ with a completed Sample Submission Form. Along with submitter details, the submission form asks for the product and manufacturer name for each sample (to be printed on the test report), its batch number and/or date of manufacture, and the rate/100 L which it is recommended to be used at.
Send samples by courier to:

Testing
The testing service is available until 30 April 2025. Samples will be tested and reported in batches, as per the testing schedule included in the Testing Service Summary. The testing frequency has been reduced compared with the 2024 programme, due to the lower number of samples that are expected in 2025. Any samples received after 11 April 2025 will be at high risk of not being completed before Zespri’s application cutoff of 1 May 2025.
Reports will only be sent to the party who has paid for the testing (and any others they specify in writing). ALS NZ will not provide results directly to Zespri without the prior written permission of the party paying for the testing.
