With Christmas just around the corner, we thought it's important to inform you about our operating hours during this festive time. To ensure our hardworking team gets some well-deserved rest, we will be running with a limited staff during the holiday period.

Hamilton Laboratory (Honey, Dairy, Environmental, Drugs of Abuse)
Samples received at the laboratory from Wednesday 20 December 2023, will have extended TATs. Operational hours for the period Friday 22 December 2023 through to Friday 5 January 2024 are as follows:

• Friday 22 December - Laboratory operating at normal capacity; samples received on this day are not guaranteed to be reported before 8th January.
• Saturday 23 December - Laboratory operating with skeleton staff; able to receive samples.
• Monday 25 December - Tuesday 26 December  - Laboratory closed
• Wednesday 27 December -  Friday 29 December - Laboratory operating with skeleton staff; able to receive samples.
• Monday 1 January - Tuesday 2 January - Laboratory closed
• Wednesday 3 January - Friday 5 January - Laboratory operating with skeleton staff; able to receive samples.

Submitting Environmental (Water) Samples
Any BOD samples received from the 15th December will be frozen and analysed from the 10th January 2023. 
Between the 21st Dec and 3rd of January, samples for micro testing can be accepted on the following dates only: 

• Thursday 21 December 2023
• Wednesday 27- Thursday 28 December 2023
• If you have requirements outside of these dates, please contact your key account manager or our customer service team. 

Asbestos Laboratory Operating Hours
Christchurch will be closed on all public holidays. The laboratory will be open with reduced staff for the periods between 27th-29th December, and 3rd-5th January. Hours will be 9am-4pm. 
 

Service returns to normal on Monday 8 January 2024.
